These grants provide some matching funds for early-career events organised by our Member Associations in good standing (for example: graduate conferences, training events, and other research-oriented events aimed at and organised by, or with the collaboration of, early career researchers).
There are up to 10 yearly grants of up to US $250 each, to be supplemented by at least the same amount by the National Association (Overall and individual sums, as well as procedures and dates, are subject to periodic review by the Executive Council).

Who can apply
Early-career scholars (ECR) who are organising events for a National Association, or AILC-ICLA Member Associations which are organising events for their early-career members.
The AILC-ICLA considers ECRs to be graduate students and/or academics in possession of a doctoral degree, or equivalent, who either hold or are in search of post-doctoral positions or fellowships, and/or are within 36 months of their date of employment in an academic position.

The AILC-ICLA gratefully welcomes donations to the Participation Grants fund. These can be made by contacting one of our Treasurers or by making a credit card payment and selecting the Donations option.
