We are currently proposing the creation of a new AILC/ICLA Research Committee entitled "Imagology and Transcultural Media Studies / Imagologie et études des médias transculturels."
The initiative aims to bring together scholars interested in the study of cultural representation from a comparative perspective. It focuses on how cultural images and imaginaries circulate, transform, and acquire new meanings across literature, visual media, and other cultural forms, with particular attention to transregional, intermedial, and spatial dynamics.
We warmly invite colleagues working in related areas to express their interest in joining the committee.
