Applications will open in time to be considered for the next Congress.
Participation Grants (previously “Travel Grants”), in particular (but not only) to participate in an AILC-ICLA International Congress, will be offered to Early Career Researchers (including doctoral students) as well as to more senior scholars in countries or contexts that make it extremely difficult for them to finance their participation in ICLA events.
Criteria / How to apply
The application will consist of a CV and a motivation letter. A dedicated link to upload applications will be provided when applications open.
What is the Prize/Grant
Individual scholars who received a notification of acceptance and are interested in applying for a participation grant can opt for one of the following (note that the types of grants may change, and amounts can be confirmed only after the fees for the next Congress are announced):
- Fee waiver
- Accommodation grant (a maximum limit will be set)
- Fee waiver + accommodation grant (a maximum limit will be set)
- Transportation grant (a maximum limit will be set)

Who can apply
The grants are meant to assist primarily students and early career researchers whose circumstances do not allow them to finance their participation in the congress. Other scholars who have significant difficulties in funding their participation can also apply.
In order to be able to apply, applicants must have received an acceptance letter of their paper proposal to the Congress.
When decisions will be made/communicated
Decisions will be made in time for applicants to be able to register by the Early Bird deadline of the next Congress.
