Our Committee (originally formed under the title “National Associations–Plus”), seeks to expand our activities by connecting comparatists across the world and promoting exchanges with related organizations.
The objectives of our Committee are as follows:
- Promote active participation of our Member Associations in AILC-ICLA activities, encouraging their engagement at various levels such as representation at the ICLA Congress and participation in research committees;
- Foster mutually creative links among Member Associations through joint events, publications, and other collaborative activities;
- Reach out to Comparative Literature associations that are not yet formally affiliated with the ICLA;
- Support other groups of comparatists — at any level — who wish to be affiliated with the ICLA;
- Explore collaborative links with related fields, including translators’ associations, cultural organizations, writers’ groups, screenwriters’ guilds etc.;
- Facilitate links between ICLA Research Committees and external organizations with shared areas of interest.
